Stamp of Perfection

Alkira – or as it is more commonly known – The Stamp House (named after the One Pound Jimmy stamp which forms the outline of the house indoor/outdoor pool), is the brain child of renowned Australian Architect Charles Wright. Nestled in the dense tropical Daintree Rain Forest in Far North Queensland, the Stamp House prompts the question – when does a house become more than a home and become a piece of art? Despite the infinite tonnes of concrete, the space ship design and man made lake, The Stamp House is at ease within and complements the intense natural environment in which it sits.
